This course helps supervisors and managers develop the skills needed to identify, understand, and resolve workplace problems efficiently. It focuses on common issues related to people, tasks, and resources, and teaches practical techniques for resolving conflicts while improving team productivity.
Course Overview
The course explores three types of workplace problems:
People Problems: Personality clashes, poor communication, unsafe or illegal behaviour, and discrimination.
Task Problems: Inefficient work systems, time-wasting, and poorly organised tasks.
Resource Problems: Shortages or mismanagement of equipment and materials.
It also covers strategies for successful resolution, including arbitration, negotiation, compromise, conciliation, and mediation, showing how these methods benefit both employees and the organisation.
