Service Description
Course Overview Our Harness Awareness course is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge required to safely use safety harnesses in the workplace. The course covers the correct selection, inspection, fitting and use of harnesses and associated fall protection equipment, helping to ensure compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Course Length Duration: Half day (approximately 4 hours, including theory and practical demonstrations) What You Will Learn By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the legal requirements for working at height Identify types of safety harnesses and their applications Conduct pre-use inspections and identify damaged or defective equipment Correctly fit, adjust and wear a safety harness Understand safe anchorage and connection methods Recognise the importance of storage, maintenance and record keeping Who Is It For This course is suitable for: Anyone required to work at height using safety harnesses Supervisors and managers responsible for work at height operations Health and safety representatives or personnel overseeing harness use Assessment Method Participants will be assessed through: A short written or multiple-choice test to confirm understanding Practical demonstration of correct harness fitting and inspection Certification Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Competence in Harness Awareness, valid for three years. Prerequisites No formal qualifications are required. However, participants should have a basic understanding of workplace safety and be physically capable of wearing and adjusting a harness.
Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation & Attendance Policy Refund Eligibility The following cancellation charges apply: More than 14 days before the Course: Full refund (minus a £15 admin fee) 7–14 days before the Course: 50% of Fee payable Less than 7 days before the Course: 100% of Fee payable Late Cancellations Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund. How to Cancel All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to: katy@solenttrainingsolutions.co.uk No-Shows Participants who do not attend the course and fail to provide cancellation notice will not receive a refund. Late Arrivals Please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled course start time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the published start time, you may be refused entry. Refunds will not be issued to participants who are refused entry due to late arrival.
